we, as humans, will never be free of difficulties or problems.

if we did not face any problems, we might as well not be sent down to earth.

we all are on earth for a purpose: to learn things.

not just head knowledge. we need a good balance of EQ, SQ and IQ (i think i'm lacking greatly on the EQ though. lol)

on another note, when it comes to human/human relationships, i still feel that letting the heart rule over the head is a BIG mistake. vice versa applies.

be reminded that (almost) everyone in the world feels the same. they love people and want to be loved back. but obviously, this is not commonplace in everyone.

its important to keep a balance in everything that you do.

don't feel disheartened or the world's over when the whole world seems to be on the opposing side. remember that God will always be there for you.

i hope i follow my own advice. =/

yeah i've been busy. and i think i like being occupied. wahaha.

why do i love fb?

apps (barn buddy, treasure mania, naruto wars etc etc)
random quizzes (how well do you know your friends? lol)
the fact that you can learn alot about your friend's discreetly and without their knowledge. lol yes ziquan and tuan seng! i know you've been to CTPC too. like me. lol.
(not for me, but for some pple) facebook stalking? lol.

what i dislike about fb:

that when pple comment on something after you comment. it becomes spam mail. i know that i can change the settings and all that. but maybe what they can do is after... 10 mins of all the active spams, then send one email stating all the pple's names and their comments all into 1 email? lol.
spams of farmville notifications. I DONT PLAY IT ANYMORE OK. lol =P
spams of other apps then i don't use.
random friends that are probably just bored or desperate. or maybe its a virus. =/

and my sis had this unagi bbq thing as well. its not bad but, i think my lunch was much more satisfying. lool (laugh out obnoxiously loud).

since young we were taught that vulgar words are bad. is it because of their meaning? or because they are absolutely mean and insulting to say to people?

words like "stupid" were taught as vulgar when i was young. like you're not even supposed to call your rabbits stupid. but is it really vulgar in society now? lol.

how about "shit" or "crap"? its not as bad a "fuck" right? but why is "fuck" determined as a more vulgar word that "shit" and "crap"?

you know, i used to keep short hair. in fact, i still like short hair. but having long hair has its pros and cons as well:

+ i think i look better in long hair.

+ i kept it for someone. haven't cut it since then.

+ it probably makes me look more feminine LOL

- its quite uncomfortable. even when at work or when reading or something, when my fringe comes down.

- or when its too hot. die die must tie up my hair. lol it feels much cooler without this bunch.

- it takes abit too long to dry. usually i need at least 2 hours. affects my lifestyle. haha.

hi dear readers. i hope that you've finished your exams. i've finished mine. :D

lets just say that people come and go all the time.

maybe you'll see them a few years down the road. and you totally cannot recognise them! must've undergone puberty when you didn't see him/her. xD

and i have news for you!!! latte(my bitch at home) is pregnant! :D see my profile pic there. thats her.

and she still has eating problems at almost 2 years old. =.=

one shall not wallow in self pity/the past.

take care of yourselves. go for a jog every once in awhile to let all your emotions out. if helps alot. :D

of course, don't overwork yourself either. thats very detrimental to your body.

if you're about to lose yourself, there's always outrageous hairstyles to try. or for the less adventurous, just go to the bar with someone who can take you home... and drink all you can. as long as there's no drugs involved everything's fine. =P

stay focused. what are you in school for? place your goal in front of you. hee.

last but not least. when in doubt, ask. talk about it. let it out. and... if there's no one there, bitch about it in a journal. and SMILE. =)

lifes strange. love's strange too (at times i think that i might become a divorcee in the future. i'll probably be a little too much of a hassle to my future spouse LOL). and sometimes you may feel extremely high yet low.

physical appearance does affect a persons confidence. a slim person may think that he/she is fat when he/she is really is of a good weight at that height. people will also worry about their arm/tummy/butt/thigh size. which really is... a very bad indulgence.

welcome to "lacking confidence" anonymous. my name is cheryl, i have low confidence in many many things, including physical appearance. i (think i have) made someone i love very much leave me because of this low self confidence (or at least, its one of the reasons). it has also caused much fear in me during the relationship: a fear of losing him. and i really did cause of this self-dedemoralisation and some possessiveness. and my friends get annoyed when i say i'm too short and fat.

sometimes, it gets so bad that it affects my school and my work. breaking down in front of pple is really not cool. =/

hello everyone.

how's life? have you cut down on the beef yet? =D

partying in life is important. because if you don't, you don't realise what you've been missing out on! haha.

even if you were mentally battered. or tired of life. just try it at least once.

of course try to manage your drinking level and not get too drunk as well. lol unless you have someone to send you home! =P

my second topic would be about school. before you know it, you'll graduate(drop out if you're a bum) and you'll be kicked into the vicious working world.

whats in there for you? definitely politics, no matter where you go, as long as there's more than one person in the room.

as you get higher in rank/status, you'd probably have more power and would face less politics than the juniors. they get the crap.

so no matter how simple a job you want to have in the future, how about trying a hand at promotion? its a great motivating factor.

topic three: memories are delicate things. some you can't wait to rid off your mind, and some that you want to hold onto forever. why are humans like that? sometimes i wished i had some concussion and permanent memory lost on certain painful things. =/ do you?

worked the whole day today, so can't give you much insights and the other philosophical crap.

just had 1 crappy experience at work. towards the end of the night shift, one of my colleagues forgot to prepare a dessert. human error: anyone and everyone makes mistakes once in awhile right. so we were heating up the dessert via microwave as we always do. and the customers misunderstood. they think we always heat the cake up by some other means and think that we are "cheating".

so when i sent them the bill, our restaurant always brings some candy with our bill. so the one of the customer said to the other in hokkien: "i think that you should feed it to your dog". how rude. i guess they must've never worked in the service line before.

i think that everyone out there, unless you have issues with speech, should try working in the service industry to open your eyes and see how cruel this world can be at times.

no matter how bad someone treats you, as long as its not abuse or harrassment(cause thats obviouely another issue), you must just never show your anger or hurt to the customer. its awful but we only do this for the company's face, its reputation. so suck it up y'all! and just rant all you want about it behind the counters or something. =D

yes, everyone must've heard about global warming and climate change time and again, and its true that it doesn't concern us (or our generation) for the time being. lets get worried guys! why am i telling you guys so?

according to Animal Planet,

cause the poor artic and antartic beings are suffering from it. hunting season is getting shorter for the polar bears; they usually hunt during winter when seals are abundant.

there are less breeding grounds for penguins: they do not breed in snow, but on rocky grounds where they can build their nests.

the four Alps (New Zealand, Japan, Europe and Australia) in the world are melting, and the creatures living in these Alps may end up being extinct in the next few years when there are less Alps to live in.

just FYI, the main cause of global warming is not carbon dioxide. its actually methane. yes METHANE. the crap thats coming out of cows are actually more harmful than your air cons and your exhalation.

did you know that methane is 72 times more harmful than CO2 with respect to global warming? scary huh. to rear all the bull you're eating, countries like brazil are actually clearing forests just to clear them. and sometimes, when pple clear forests(like our neighbouring countries), they use fire as it is a cheaper, easier way of clearing them.

oh btw, food processing of milk and shrimp can also produce alot of greenhouse gases.

lets do something about it pple! won't you feel guilty if you killed a few of God's creations(if you believe in God)? and if you don't believe in God, isn't it sad that you're killing your own earthmates? lets do something about this k. i shan't say that you should completely stop eating beef, but lets start by cutting down.

another one month plus before the actual day... lol

this week, monday and tuesday were agonising for YL and i cause PAY wasn't in. luckily, i managed to get by with biscuits and sandwiches and stuff. jap class on monday was good! it was slow but we get to learn things thats out of the text with Hiroko Sensei around... will be attending her class next week as well. lol.

On tuesday, classes were kinda... mundane (tired lol) yet good, in the sense that i learnt quite alot (espsicially FMA for once huh). then... after class yl and i went to amk to check our schedule for work and stuff. in the end, that "woman" talked to us. so hopefully our transfer to another outlet would be a success? haha.

Wed class was pretty slack... skipped maths and went for heat transfer tutorial... i sure hope that the sport quiz would come out fine man. then had lunch with weilu. then we also planned for our malacca trip in december to kill some time before Sports day (for her) and Chado (for me). chado was fun! but tiring to the knees... Inaba sensei was strict... but its for our own good! haha. then... went with wl and yl to marche for dinner! what a treat! everything was pretty gd, except for the disappointing apple pie. =(

hey people. sorry for the late update. been busy busy ya... lol... lets track back... and start from wednesday.

wed right. classes were as per normal, then had FMA pract discussion from 1-3pm. the report calculation is super confusing and we don't know where to start from la... lol.

then had the first basic II chado class. it was fun, and we get to learn alot of new stuff. yay. and my legs went numb at least twice... couldn't even walk straight. xD i enjoyed the lesson v much, although i had to be the one who brought the towels home... congrats to forgel for getting a chance to serve pple in the charity tea ceremony session next sunday, 16 November. we(from chado class) envy you! hehe

thursday's class was pretty normal. nothing much to say except that PI pract is easy man... lol. then cooked dinner at home. latte was groomed v well by pets station this time round. she looks so pretty =D.

Friday lessons were normal. again. during HT, we were briefed on our electives for next year, as well as ITP, which is gonna cost a bomb in terms of transport and trouble to make meals. haha. for the electives right, i'm probably taking pharmaceutical as my first choice, then petroleum, then membrane science as the third. but... i think that membrane science is not the most popular. sad right...lol

saturday: oops. i woke up late for SSW. still, i think we made much progress. =) then... oops again. i didn't go for siti's band concert. really sorry, i'll make it up to you. xD went for steamboat with SSW peeps (jocelyn,CF,tiffany,eugene,jonas,wenwen and i) instead. had alot of fun! at bugis. haha here's some of the photos we took...

so... i slept till 1+pm on sunday. super pro right... haha. then did a bit of sch work. then went for work. yl and i had a really really bad day at work, so we were thinking of quitting/transferring to another outlet. i hope that i can go back to novena... argh just thinking of the manager who pissed us really... puts me off anything man. lol.

Sch starts at 1pm tml but i need to meet my pract group for discussion at 10.30am. so good night. =)

Just came back from work. kinda tired. i've been sleeping late since Sunday (3AM), so i guess i'll need to find some time to catch up with my rest. i think i'm getting really fat from improper meals and such. I should do something about it... lol.

on saturday, we had SSW practice in the morning, as well as a seminar from Mr Ng on music psychology in the afternoon. Guess it'll help me in my everyday lessons (accelerated learning) as well as in music. after the seminar, i rushed down to Northpoint to buy pet food before heading home. had to feed my Latte you know. hehe.

Worked on sunday from 12 to 9 with an hour break in between. it wasn't tiring to be honest, and all the managers and customers seem pretty good today... i must have woken up on the rght side of the bed (Finally xD).

Monday: Happy Birthday to my japanese father, 亀野先生！(^.^)
heat transfer pract was... normal. classes were... normal. nothing much to say about school. haha. then went for Jap class (ひろこ Sensei's class)... it was good! i learnt so much. and i think i'll go for her lessons again. btw she's from Nagoya city 名古屋市(i dunno correct kanji or not lol).

Today class was normal as well. already completed 10% assignment for GEMs, so i think we should get the full 10% as discussion was allowed. xD

UPDATE: sorry for a very very late update. (>.<) added some more photos too.
Just got came home from Jurong Point, a place thats bloody far from my home.

today, i was pretty sleepy throughout the day (lectures and practical). Basic Instrumental Analysis and Heat Transfer lectures were pretty normal, the way they should be. FMA practical was good at first; KCA was briefing us for the first half, so we didn't get v low marks. then, aKon went through with us the post pract briefing. many marks were deducted. other groups shared the same fate or worse. wth?

after class, the guys (wk, yx, sg, et) and girl (wk's gf) and us (wl,yl and i) went to JP to have our dinner, as well as watch Coffin (thai ritual inspired movie). dinner was at SUBWAY! yeah, it rocks man. then after dinner, we had some spare time... so we just walked ard the damn crowded mall.

onto the movie... it wasn't as scary as we thought, but i thought that the plot had a serene ending to it. i'd prefer sadist ones like Shutter though. xD took about a 1 hour train ride home. siannnn

School this week was pretty tiring. had alot of work accompanied with it as well, thats why... although work wasn't as bad as usual...

good evening everyone, to start with, a very happy birthday to two people!

Supposed to go for SSW yesterday, but i just had no money to take bus to there. really broke. sad right... so i spent the time at home, anime-ing (finished AIR TV anime xD) and some school work. ONCT was having their annual 学校祭り(School Festival)! i really really wanted to go! too bad i'm not born rich. then i can just buy the air ticket whenever i want. haha.

hi people... long time no blog... school for the week has ended. the seconday school kids would be having their holidays from today onwards, and poly students only get a longer weekend (because of deepavali).

class was as per normal the last few days. some tutorials and lectures were really cmi, cause the lecturers were... you know. haha. i think that heat transfer is kinda difficult, but would be easy with some practice, so i'm gonna focus alot on that! 5 credit units after all... lol

on wed was the 福岡 and thailand trip briefing. we (大分 trip group) were thinking of going, but the SPSEC said they have never let anyone go for 2 exchange trips in a year before, thus its probably impossible for us to go. (T.T) in the end, we didn't even sign up for the interview. haha.

process instrumentation pract was really easy as compared to HT, but i'm guessing that the theory behind the pract may be tough... so far not much of a prob. xD and for the lessons, i think that scaled signal and drift are troublesome... but oh well, thats life lol

work on thurs and fri was pretty hectic, and it should be because of deepavali = long weekend. well i hope that i'll earn enough this month to keep me going. haha. rinaldi is quitting soon! why... (T.T) my hire-ree is leaving... he better hurry up get married with his gf and invite me to the wedding... lol!

supposed to go for SSW today, but i'm so broke that i can't afford the bus trip to there. (T.T) have been eating all my means at home to save money. luckily, allowance is coming on tuesday, so i just need to hold on for awhile longer... haha thats all for now...

good evening everyone. according to SPSEC, there'll be a new exchange to 福岡 this december! i want to go. but i'm really broke, and there's still the interview... so lets just wait and see. xD briefing is tml. haha i can't wait!

Class was alright yesterday. flmechA was kinda boring, because the lecturer wasn't really teaching. however, heat transfer pract wasn't as hard as we thought it would be. the only prob was the one who accessed us... kinda an irritating guy lol. here's some pics from the lab experiment that i did...

today's classes were pretty productive... except for EMIIa i guess. i had vegertarian bee hoon for lunch at FC1! very shiok haha. skipped fma so that we can print the lecture notes for it... after printing, we realised that all the punctuation and the numbers in the notes were missinG!so we had to write them in ourselves. by 4.45pm we decided to leave, leaving a few pages for tomorrow.

Japanese class was pretty bad today, mainly because 先生 rejected our work. she generalised us, saying that we were plagerising and stuff cause we used kanji. just because one or 2 people did it, doesn't mean that the whole class did the same thing what. at the very least, i used some vocab because i needed to use it or it'll be impossible to continue. they didn't even mention that we can't use translators anyway.

after class i managed to get a lift on louis's car home! =) lucky! but it was quite a bumpy ride... so i got carsick. xD more soon ok? cya (^.^)

hi people, long time no blog. been busy from thursday onwards. as usual, i miss 大分！また行きたい！haha. worked on thursday (5-11) and friday (6-10) night, so i was really tired.

in fact, i was so tired on that i overslept by one whole hour on friday morning (woke up at 7.20am) and of course, missed some of the first lecture thats from 8-10am. lol, in the end, i was about forty minutes late. many people turned back to see when i entered the lecture hall. it was the first lecture with the biotech students also la. it was quite embarrasssing. (-.-'')

part-time work place. xD

work wasn't really good, especially after about 3 weeks of not working. haha i work as a waiteress/server in this seafood restaurant at a pretty busy outlet. so its very tough on the staff and sometimes, we feel that its not worth the pay. lol. did station on thurs =), but greeter on friday =( . i don't like greeter. haha.

Saturday: Sembawang Symphonic Winds (SSW). i'm sorry for being late... but i really had to attend to something important that morning. lol. band practice was pretty fun and good. there were a few new members. thanks for coming and hope that you've enjoyed the practice (^.^)

Today (Sunday), we went to nana's house for hari raya lunch. her mother's cooking is really tasty, i took second helpings hehe. watched date movie (humour/parody) and rewatched a little of 4Bia (horror) cause the storyline was very good. haha.

Good evening everyone! yesterday I had Japanese class until 7.30pm, therefore not having enough time to blog last night. the new sensei was very different from Lim Sensei, even in terms of teaching style as well.

they are opening a Beginners II class for CHADO! i wanna join, but i dunno if i'll be alone again... T.T "F" pls join too! lol.

other classes were pretty tiring (well it was a long day). on the way home, i almost miss my stop as i was dozing off in the train... lol. daydreaming and listening to Jpop is a wonderful way to relax... aaaaaaaaaaaah~ lol i sound like some ah peh. note: drinking milk after a hot bath/onsen is so きもちい！i want another dip in an onsen! too bad there's no such thing as onsen here in sg.

today's classes was probably the most productive out of the first 3 days of school. even though it was the shortest as well. haha. i will work hard this semester! just as i've promised myself...

School Starts!

Konbanwa minnasan! school has started... and it wasn't as good as i hoped it would be... the lecturers seem sooooo strict this semester. seems like i really need to work hard if i want to score! today, finding a place for lunch was worse than horrible. every food court was practically packed! i'll pack a bento to school tomorrow to save some money. i'm broke now.

ice skating was really fun! although only marie, J, L, S and i turned up. skated for 2 hours. our thighs and feet got hurt alot! but still, it was fun. it was J's first time so he almost fell many times. FIGHT-O!

finally got the chance to meet up with weilu, farhana and yenlin since i got back from japan. started off at the toys R us at vivocity. had some fun with the props/costumes for halloween!

had ramen ten for lunch... the usual kinda food.

went all the way to keppel bay for a drink at tcc... it was alright... my 'peachy' drink was very milky and not peachy... managed to catch up alot and all of us were groaning about sch gonna start. lol

the third drink is mine. i wanted to drink the berry oreo (first one) though. xD

nana left early, so weilu and yenlin and i went to takashimaya for a quick shopping trip before heading to rivervale, sengkang. ate sakae sushi buffet! nothing compared to the jap food in japan. nevertheless, still one of the better restaurants in SG. ATE quite a fair lot, but yl and wl are more pro than me man, never expected that. haha.

went to SSW comm meeting today... mainly to run errands but it was fun just playing games in the music studio and stuffs. had california 2 for 1 pizza too... quite alot for a tes time snack though.

a little more about myself. hobbies: anime/アニメ! playing the flute, SHOPPING, playing with my Latte, chatting with fellow friends online. pretty normal hobbies if you ask me. GYAA sch starting in 2 days. sian feeling. haha.

nice? i got it for SG$17.90 only... hehe. i miss japan alot. the people (students, teachers, even the strangers are nice), the food, the HOT SPRINGs... i wanna go back already! jap food really sucks in SG as compared to japan... japanese fish is so fresh, theres no smell/stench at all la. ONCT students, please tell me if you wanna come to singapore! i'll be more than happy to bring you around! よこそ！シンガポールへ！hehe.

i did almost nothing today. woke up at around ten, had breakfast, watched anime, had lunch, watched anime again... then at about 2.30 i left my house to collect come photos that i sent for printing, as well as meet my 母 to pass to her her souvenirs. i also showed her some of my ''precious'' photos. hehe. her colleague Sharimah (not sure about the spelling) liked my photos too. (^.^). then did a little shopping, bought a pair of shoes and a green belt. what i really need. haha.

tml is hanging out time with nana, wl and yl. ひさしぶりです！need some time to catch up before the school term starts. I wanna go ice skating with the oita grp pple! but seems like only 4 pple will be turning up: samuel, li yi, marie and me. WHERES THE REST MAN. haha じゃ、また！
UPDATE! Jeremy and Louis will be going ice skating too. (^.^) hope more pple come... the more the merrier.

Hi pple! more pics for fun and to share more of my trip. this is the homestay edition! the guy talking there was my 'father's' （かめの先生） student from TWENTY years back. wow... he's working on the new oita railways, so he brought us to the site. unique experience. 愛美 (manami)　and　望 (nozomi) went with us too... after that we went to umi tamago (aquarium)! haha.
